Overview

Founded in 2025, Backyard Farm is a coalition of biologists, climate scientists, and students tackling Nigeria’s food security and climate challenges. Our mission is to empower individuals to grow climate-resilient crops in their backyards, fostering a sustainable food system. We provide training, tools such as drought-resistant seeds, and community networks to promote urban gardening. This approach reduces carbon emissions, mitigates urban heat, enhances biodiversity, and strengthens community resilience.
